Its all about the fireplace! The customer lives in a period property with an original fire place that must be kept. The current kitchen did not in anyway focus on the fireplace or work in harmony with it.
Kitchen must be easy to use and equipped with space to eat in and accessible appliances but storage not a priority
Client had fallen in love with an expensive hand made kitchen and wanted to emulate bespoke features.
To use natural materials and painted finishes.
Changed to focus of the room to focus on the fire place
Improved fridge access facilitated in a tall housing
Used a mix of painted oak and Natural walnut finishes and granite work surfaces to create visual focuses which worked in harmony with the existing (but now restored) Fire place.
Granite work surfaces up stand and splash backs complemented the curved details which enhanced the focal points

Completely gutted the room including removing the existing ceiling, rewired the room to suit the new design including replacing the old fuse board with an up to date consumer unit, moved an existing radiator, put up a new ceiling and coving, new Karndean floor and completely re decorated.
